Battle Guidelines
1. Absolutely no Godmodding or powerplaying. These are basic roleplaying rules, but I think they need to be placed here in the Battle section as well.
Godmodding is when your character/pokemon can't be beat. You make it so that every attack misses your pokemon and it doesn't get hurt throughout a battle/ never loses a battle/ hardly ever gets hurt period.
Powerplaying is when you control the actions of someone else's character. This can be as obvious as making them speak or do something without the Roleplayer's consent, or it could simply be not giving them a chance to react to an attack.Ex: Poochyena leaped forward, bowling into the Shroomish and landing a direct hit.
Here, poochyena's roleplayer has powerplayed by not giving shroomish's roleplayer a chance to dodge or retaliate. An acceptable post would be:
Ex: Poochyena leaped forward, aimed for the Shroomish in the hopes of bowling the pokemon over and scoring a direct hit.
This time, Shroomish's roleplayer can decide whether or not her pokemon is hit.
2. Obey the Two Dodge Rule. This rule states:A pokemon can only successfully dodge twice in a row, and four times during a battle. Attacks that have no effect do not count in this number. Moves like Fly, Dig, and Dive, in which the pokemon flies or otherwise moves out of range, do not count in this number.
3. A pokemon can only know 6 moves at the most. This is altered from the game limit of 4 moves to give the RPG a bit more variety in techniques and battling. However, no more than 6 moves can be known at a time.
4. Moves such as Protect and Detect cannot be used more than three times in a battle.
5. If you've successfully read through all of the rules here, thenplease add the word "awesome" after "is" at the end of your character biography.
